Bicentenial Stadium Municipalidad of La Florida

The land of the project is located in the neighborhood of La Florida where the original municipal Stadium worked, which already has limited public capacity and poor equipment, which foments the interest of remodeling.

The place of 3.2 Há. It is next to a sport area that belongs to the General Contraloría of the Republic, reason why the project includes an equipment of communal character.

The project considers the demolition of existing graderies, but it conserves the field of synthetic grass in operation. The new Stadium is constructed around the existing field. This situation, added to the small dimensions of the land and only one built-up front conditions the distribution of the program.

Due to the limited dimensions of the place and to the increase of capacity that is required for the new stadium, it was considered to take advantage of all the ground available for the concentration of the attending public (12,000 people), for this reason, all graderies begin on the 3,5 meters level.

On the other hand, the neighborhood of La Florida has an important deficit of public spaces. Due to this the importance of the Project is not only the development of sport, but increases the social and cultural activities.
