This project is the result of private competition, which involved significant architectural offices in Santiago.
The project involves an unusual theme among buildings of its kind, mixing the efficiency of corporate architecture and the fluidic recreational and art spaces.
The master-plan consists in a prism of 100 meters high, to which a series of sculptures of large size, are embedded in the different corners of the tower. The building, completely covered in glass reflects the trees of the Araucano Park across the street.
The program locates in the underground a thousand seat theater next to which is placed a cultural center with multipurpose rooms and a large exposition hall. This center is communicated to an outside garden surrounding the tower, projected as a open exposition courtyard. This garden is located in the first basement and consists in a large green area animated by cascading waters on the perimeter walls, which serves as a protected leisure environment, complemented by a public restaurant and cafeteria.
Thus the first floor is insulated all around it´s perimeter from the street, communicated by bridges that cross the hall through two concrete arcades embedded in the tower.
The main access of the complex was designed through a public plaza, arranged in the southern part of the property and that conforms and completes the pedestrian walkway planned in the center of the block formed in association with the other buildings in the sector.
On the third floor, leveled with the foliage of trees, a complete floor was reserved to locate the private casino. The remaining 21 floors above were divided in sections of 4 to 8 floors, corresponding to independent program units; which share separate interior staircases communicated through an open multiple height space and associated to the sculptural terraces with confer in first place the unique silhouette feature of the building.
